Individual Counseling:
Individual counseling (aka: "therapy") is a process through which clients work one-on-one with a trained therapist in a safe, caring, and confidential environment. Individual therapy can be helpful in exploring one's feelings, beliefs, and behaviors. Individual therapy can also help one work through challenging memories, or identify aspects of one's life that could be changed or better understood when looked at from different perspectives. Generally speaking, individual therapy can help one work toward any desired change in life.
People seek counseling for a wide variety of reasons–coping with major life challenges or childhood trauma, dealing with depression or anxiety. Sometimes people seek counseling simply because they desire personal growth or greater self-knowledge. Individual counseling may last for as few as five or six sessions or as long as several years, depending on one's unique needs and personal goals.
Couples Counseling:
Couples counseling is typically focused on supporting healthy dynamics between two people in a relationship. Couples counseling is a great way for people to receive support for a variety of issues (e.g.: fostering work/life balance, navigating parenthood, suffering loss, overcoming infidelity, experiencing infertility). That said, people do not need to be married to benefit from couples counseling. Pre-marital counseling is an example. Two people working to navigate the natural ebb and flow pattern of a romantic relationship is another.
Regardless of the nature of the relationship, couples counseling is geared toward supporting people who are serious about forging a stronger, healthier bond with one another.
Family Counseling:
Family counseling may include all family members or just those able or willing to participate. Families seeking help can anticipate working closely with one of our team members to develop a specific treatment plan based on the family’s needs. Families in counseling can benefit from learning and/or strengthening skills in the following areas: interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, stress-management, time-management, and overall household-management (just to name a few).
Our goal in working with families is to help each family member understand and value his/her individual worth to the whole-family system. The benefits of family counseling can be quickly realized, and passed on for generations.
Team Building:
Our amazing team is not limited traditional forms of counseling. We also help employees/team members forge closer relationships in the office and/or in the athletic arena.
In the workforce, we are prepared to help professionals better understand how setting healthy boundaries can enhance reliability, accountability, integrity, non-judgement, generosity, and trust in the workplace.
In the athletic arena, we are prepared to help athletes better understand how clear communication leads to deeper levels of commitment, engagement, energy, focus, trust, and ultimately performance in the midst of competition.
